Bahamas for 2025!

Our planned route to aim from West Palm Beach, FL toward West End, then to turn south toward Great Harbour Cay (pronounced “key”).

We’re leaving 2024 in the dust and sailing into the Bahamas for 2025!

The water was more uncomfortable than anticipated, so we decided to stop at West End instead of Great Harbour Marina for the night. We traveled about 60 nautical miles over the course of 10 hours.

Traveling from West Palm Beach, Florida to West End, Bahamas.

Since we arrived after 6 pm, we couldn’t check in, so we pulled into Ginn Sur Mer in the dark. We could see boats in the anchorage, but it was challenging to navigate in a new space in the dark, so we dropped anchor in the channel on the edge of the anchorage.

Now it’s time to let our stomachs settle, eat some dinner, and celebrate the coming of a new year. Phew!
