Fika is ready for her next crew

2005 Beneteau 423 · 3 cabins · Great Loop veteran

Listed with Corinna Rogers, CPYB, at Engel & Völkers Yachting.

In the fall of 2022, we drove 13 hours to Virginia to look at a three-cabin Beneteau 423. We made an offer that same day. Fika became our home, our office, and our kids' classroom.

She carried the four of us all the way around America's Great Loop, through locks, across Lake Erie, and down the Intracoastal. Then she took us along the coasts of Florida and Georgia. We worked remotely and homeschooled from her saloon table, and we made friends in nearly every port.

Life is bringing us back to land for a season, and letting her go is more bittersweet than we expected. It's time for Fika to take another family on an adventure. We're leaving her loaded with the gear we used every day, so her next crew can step aboard and go.

Why She’s a Great Boat

  • Three private cabins.

A layout that's hard to find in a 43-footer, and the reason we chose her. Room for kids, guests, or an office.

  • She's Loop-capable.

Fika has completed America's Great Loop, and she's set up for it, right down to the fenders for locks.

  • Ready for remote work.

Starlink, solar, and a generator kept us online and working full-time from the water, with an external monitor at the nav desk for work or movie night.

  • An extra room outside.

The enclosed cockpit, with screens, became our favorite living space.

  • Made for the ICW.

At 55 feet, her air draft clears the Intracoastal’s standard 65-foot fixed bridges. You can stay on the inside route and only go offshore when you want to.

  • Bow thruster.

Docking, tight marinas, and crowded lock walls are much easier, even for a short-handed crew.

  • Two ways to get to shore.

A dinghy with both a Yamaha outboard and a Torqeedo electric motor.

  • Ready to go.

She comes loaded with the gear we used every day, from fenders and dock lines to tools, snorkel gear, and fishing tackle. Step aboard and cast off.

  • Family-tested.

Four of us lived aboard full time, working and homeschooling along the way. She’s a proven, comfortable home, not just a weekend boat.
